Meet Nicole — Nicole is our Centre Director.
If you’ve ever walked into our centre and immediately felt warmth, calm and genuine care, chances are you’ve already experienced Nicole’s magic. For her, working with children is more than a job it’s a journey she takes alongside every child and their family.
Nicole’s favourite part of her role is building those deep, meaningful connections. She loves getting to know each child as the unique little person they are, watching them grow in confidence, explore the world, and reach their full potential. But it doesn’t stop there. Nicole believes in supporting the whole family making sure every parent, sibling and carer feels safe, supported and truly at home in the centre.
When asked about a time she made a positive impact, Nicole doesn’t point to just one moment because for her, the impact happens in all the small, everyday interactions. Whether it’s helping a child through separation anxiety, supporting families navigating dietary needs, or being a steady, caring presence during challenging circumstances, Nicole understands the trust families place in her team. She prides herself on creating a safe space where families feel understood respected and cared for.
So what makes North Edge such a special place? According to Nicole, it’s the shared heart and passion of everyone in the centre. Every educator brings empathy, curiosity and a genuine desire to support each child’s individual journey. The teamwork is strong each educator leans into their strengths and supports others to do the same, creating an environment where everyone thrives.
When it comes to what inspires Nicole to keep growing, her list is long. She draws strength from the educator’s passion, kindness and dedication. She’s energised by the culture the centre has created, one built on learning, connection and community. And above all, she’s proud of how her and the educators continually comes together to support families with knowledge, compassion and a holistic approach.
